Apple's anticipated Watch shared stage time in Sept. when the company was also showing off new iPhones and a new mobile wallet, but it seems as though it will get its own day on March 9.
According to the Wall Street Journal, Apple sent out an invite for an unspecified event to be held March 9 at the at the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts Theater in San Francisco. About an hour's drive north of their One Infinite Loop headquarters in Cupertino, Calif., Apple is expected to unveil their Watch.
The company already showed off a lot of what the Apple Watch can do, but certain features have not necessarily been confirmed. It is also getting its own day because it is the first device since the iPad that is starting its own line.
Bloomberg News noted the invite's message, "Spring Forward," was a reference to the U.S.' Daylight Savings Time that occurs the day before. Apple has also maintained from the start that the Watch would be released in "early 2015" and the company recently confirmed that would mean April.
The release date for the Apple Watch is expected to come around the same time as the next major iOS 8 update expected to add various features related to the Health app. It also allows the Internet plenty of time to speculate on the next iPhone, that is once the Watch fervor subsides.
