With his former boss resigning, Brady Hoke is not concerned about his post as the University of Michigan (UM) head football coach.

According to ESPN, Hoke has not considered what Dave Brandon's resignation as UM's athletic director might mean for his own job. Brandon hired Hoke in 2011 and the Wolverines' losses have increased every season since.

After Brandon announced his resignation last week, Jim Hackett was named as the interim athletic director. No school has more wins in college football history than Michigan, but the team is 4-5, only one loss away from surpassing their total from last season.

"I've never been concerned about a job, ever, and I never will be," Hoke told ESPN. "If I get concerned about a job, then you get distracted."

Scrutiny peaked for Hoke and Brandon when quarterback Shane Morris was allowed to stay in the game for one play after suffering a concussion. Both Hoke and Brandon said no one saw the helmet-to-helmet hit that put Morris on his back and attributed it to a communication failure.

"Obviously, I have a great relationship with Dave, and will always continue that. I think he is a Michigan Man. His heart was into what was good for Michigan, and he did a lot of good things," Hoke told the UM athletic department's official website. "I met Jim before at speaking engagements, and when I was here before (as an assistant coach). I look forward to working with Jim, and he's a guy who cares deeply about the University.

"Dave was very supportive, and Jim with having his roots and heart here at the University athletic department and football program, will be a great ambassador for the University."

Michigan is scheduled to visit Northwestern on Saturday, to host Maryland two weeks later and then go to Columbus to play rival Ohio State, ending their regular season.
