The host nation and Mexico, the two teams atop Group A, are set to play in a game that could prove decisive in one or both teams' chances of advancing to the knockout stage.
Brazil kicked off the World Cup tournament Thursday with a 3-1 win over Croatia. Mexico defeated Cameroon the next day with a 1-0 win, the Daily Telegraph reported.

Of all the teams in the soccer tournament, Mexico may be the country that has given the five-time World Cup champions the biggest problems over the past several years. Two years ago, Mexico beat Brazil in the Olympic final, "the only notable tournament the Brazilians have never won," the Daily Telegraph reported.
"Every time we play against Mexico we have difficulties. That is why it is a game the players know will be very even, they need to have very good conditioning from the beginning until the end," Luiz Felipe Scolari said, according to FIFA.com. "The two teams play football of very good quality, with the ball on the ground, lots of moving around."
The two teams will face off at Fortaleza's Castelao Stadium, the same stadium where Mexico and Brazil played in the 2013 Confederations Cup. Brazil won that match 2-0.
Brazil striker Givanildo Vieira de Souza - AKA Hulk - insisted to the Daily Telegraph that "there is no question of Brazil looking to settle a score at Fortaleza's Castelao Stadium."
"In the Confederations Cup we tried to think only about winning the game and it will be the same this time. If we think about revenge it could cause us problems," Hulk said.
According to Weather.com, the city of Fortaleza will reach the high 60s and will be mostly clear and sunny.
The officiating crew will be made up of three Turkish referees and a Norwegian.
