The NFL Draft will not return to Radio City Music Hall next year and while several other cities are in the running, another New York City venue is not likely to be in the cards.

Unnamed sources told ESPN's Adam Schefter the NFL is focusing on either Los Angeles or Chicago as alternatives to host the 2015 draft. Schefter reported the league is prepared to move from NYC following scheduling issues.

The NFL is reportedly considering moving the NFL Draft to Madison Square Garden or the Barclays Center, but both arenas host professional sports teams. The league met Friday to discuss other cities, which Schefter reported to include Dallas, Houston, Nashville, Pittsburgh, Philadelphia and Boston.

Cities in consideration for the 2015 NFL Draft need to submit as much information as possible relating to potentially hosting the event by mid-June. The NFL would then be expected to announce its decision by the end of the month.

While this year's draft was held Mat 8-10, next year's could be bumped up to late April. The early-May date was actually a week or two later than it had been in the past and some owners complained it gave their team less time after the conclusion of the draft to prep their rookies and the rest of their roster.

According to NFL.com, a Los Angeles NFL Draft would most likely be held in the Nokia Theater at L.A. Live, home of the Oscars, Emmys and ESPYS. NFL.com also suggested moving the draft to L.A. could help drum up interest in an owner potentially moving a franchise to the city. However, the city would need a positive reaction from NFL fans in the area to move the draft there.

In Chicago, fans would jump at the chance to host the draft, since the Bears have one of the more storied franchises in the league. The likely venue would be McCormick Place, but alternates are slim.

The sleeper in the whole city search may be Boston, considering the city's sports fans are as impassioned as any and Robert Kraft's pull in the NFL.
