College basketball's non-conference schedule is going to get a little more interesting next season with the inaugural CBS Sports Classic.

CBSSports.com announced the three-year series of doubleheaders Wednesday along with the four teams set to take part - Kentucky, UCLA, UNC and Ohio State - which combine for 25 total titles.

The matchups are as follows:

Dec. 20, 2014 at Chicago's United Center

UNC vs. Ohio State at 1 p.m. ET and UCLA vs. Kentucky at 3:30 ET

Dec. 19, 2015 at Brooklyn's Barclays Center

UNC vs. UCLA and Kentucky vs. Ohio State

Dec. 17, 2016 at undetermined Las Vegas venue

Kentucky vs. UNC and UCLA vs. Ohio State

"We're excited to bring these powerhouse programs together for a tremendous early-season showcase," Dan Weinberg, senior vice president of programming at CBS Sports, said in the announcement. "From its debut next season, the CBS Sports Classic will be a marquee event, adding to our already deep college basketball schedule."

CBS will broadcast the games and will also exclusively stream the games live online at CBSSports.com as well as on the mobile app for iOS and Android.

"We are excited to be part of the CBS Sports Classic the next three seasons," Ohio State coach Thad Matta said in a statement. "The four teams competing have a tremendous history of success in college basketball. We have partnered with terrific cities and venues to make this a great experience for our program, our student-athletes and our fans."

According to the Los Angeles Times, the tournament falls in line with UCLA coach Steve Alford's plan for his team next season. Alford wants the Bruins to play a tougher schedule following their 11-2 non-conference record last season.

Duke, one of the two losses, was the only team outside the Pac-12 that UCLA played to reach the NCAA Tournament.
