Kwasi Enin, the Long Island, N.Y. high school student accepted into all eight Ivy League schools, is taking his talents to New Haven, Conn.

According to the Associated Press, Enin told a group of reporters Wednesday he has chosen to attend Yale University in the fall. He said a recent visit to the campus sealed his decision because he was already leaning toward Yale.

"I met geniuses from all across the world and everyone there was so friendly and inviting and the residential college system there is just wonderful for each student," Enin said in his announcement.

Kwasi's resume goes beyond academic achievements such as a 2,250 out of a possible 2,400 on his SAT and near-perfect advanced placement test scores. Enin throws the shot put, has a baritone singing voice and plays the viola. He featured his love of music in his admission essay.

"Whenever I perform, whether as a bassist in Men's Doo Wop Group or as a violinist in a Chamber Ensemble, I become immersed in the conversations between performers and the audience," he wrote. "As I become lost in these conversations, I create blissful memories in which I am truly part of my community's culture and eventually its history."

His story grabbed several headlines and even earned him a spot on "The Late Show With David Letterman" and the punch line of a joke (the 4:24 mark) on "Saturday Night Live: Weekend Update."

With Harvard, Princeton, UPenn, Cornell, Dartmouth, Columbia and Brown also accepting him, he said music is what brought him to Yale.

"I believe that their deep appreciation and love for music, like I have, was very critical for me deciding to go there," Enin said at the news conference.

His parents, Ebenezer and Doreen, as well as his 14-year-old sister Adwoa, joined him at the news conference. Afterward, Ebenezer said he provided his daughter with some advice.

Said the father to his daughter, "I believe you can do better than him."
