Chane Behanan, with an under-sized but explosive paint game that's long been part of the college game and gradually been accepted into the NBA, is an intriguing prospect; but is he intriguing enough to be selected in the upcoming draft?

Behanan believes so, which is why he's decided to forego his final season of eligibility for the NBA, ESPN reported.

Really, the 6-foot-6 forward has only played two seasons. Earlier this year -- his junior season -- he was kicked off the team for multiple violations of team rules.

Behanan's unique game, checkered past, and surprising declaration (in January he announced his decision to play for Colorado State next year) makes his draft status difficult to project at the moment. Most people expected him to return to school next year. Plus, he's never even averaged over 10 points per game in college, though he did post 15 points in the 2013 title game win over Michigan. NBAdraft express has him as only the #47 ranked junior. NBAdraft.net does not have in their current projections.

"I love the game, and I want to compete with the best," Behanan told ESPN. "I also want to show the NBA and the people that Chane Behanan wasn't raised like everybody talks about. My family was devastated about my decision-making in the past, and believe me I've heard it from them still [to] this day. But I am human. It's behind us, and it's nothing but moving forward from here on out."
