It looks as if Johnny Manziel will get the chance to show the Houston Texans what they missed out on because the team is seemingly more and more fixated on Jadeveon Clowney.

An NFL writer for the Houston Chronicle, Rick Smith weighed the Texans' options: Clowney, Manziel or trade. Smith said if the Texans do pursue a trade, the Falcons are a likely suitor because they would love to take Clowney.

However, the Texans can afford to be picky because they would not want to trade down too much. If the unconfirmed reports are true that new Texans coach Bill O'Brien likes Blake Bortles, the team cannot risk trading down too far to not be able to take him.

Then there is Manziel, the quarterback that seems to have evaluators thoroughly intrigued and terrified at the same time. Smith said the biggest question surrounding Manziel is whether he can stay on the field or not.

Ladainian Tomlinson, one of the greatest all-time NFL running backs and NFL Network analyst, agrees. He said Manziel is the riskiest option for the Texans to take first overall.

"I think it's Johnny Manziel when you talk about the biggest risk," Tomlinson said on a recent NFL Draft special. "With Jadeveon Clowney, right away he has the physical attributes that you want from a player who is the No. 1 pick."

O'Brien may also not need a player like Manziel or Bortles and the Texans could also be content with taking a player like A.J. McCarron, Jimmy Garoppolo or another passer expected to slip out of the first round. Smith said the Texans could theoretically ask for as many as three draft picks from the Falcons, including a first round selection next year.

Texans owner Bob McNair has publicly stated he likes Manziel because the QB was born in Texas, went to high school in Texas and played at a Texas college. Additionally, the he has to know the Jacksonville Jaguars, picking third overall, would love either Clowney or Manziel.
