Two of college basketball's best coaches are going head to head as John Calipari and the Kentucky Wildcats (8) meet Rick Pitino and the Louisville Cardinals (4) in the Sweet 16.

This NCAA Tournament matchup comes right after the National Labor Rights Board in Chicago ruled that the Northwestern football team should be allowed to unionize. Neither coach wanted to discuss the matter, but each has his own way of remaining successful year in and year out.

"There's so many arguments," Pitino told reporters, according to the Associated Press. "I think the best of all worlds, me personally, I would like to see exactly what football has."

Pitino and the Cardinals cut down the nets in last year's title game and still has some of the same key players from that team. Seniors Russ Smith and Luke Hancock lead a team nearly void of freshmen.

On the other hand is Calipari, who has a new crop of freshmen sensations every year. This season, Julius Randle, James Young, Aaron and Andrew Harrison could all realistically bolt for the NBA Draft once their team is done playing.

"Has nothing to do with this game, so I leave it alone," Calipari said of the NLRB ruling, according to the AP.

"I think we're all playing the hand we're dealt," he said. "Kids are going on to the league from us and performing, and I'm proud of that. Would I like to have had them for four years? Yes. But I also like what's happened for them and their families."

Calipari last won in 2012 with center Anthony Davis who ended up being the number one overall NBA Draft choice that summer. As expected, the young Kentucky team struggled during the season and only made the tournament as an eight-seed.

But here they are after beating nine-seed Kansas State and one-seed Wichita State to face Louisville for a trip to the Elite Eight.
