The Xavier Musketeers have been to the NCAA Tournament about as many times as the NC State Wolfpack, but with far less success, may hold an advantage Tuesday night.

NC State is 34-23 in tournament play, has won two national championships and been to three Final Fours. Xavier is 21-23 in the tournament, has won no championships and has never seen a Final Four.

The game will be held in Dayton, Ohio, about 48 miles from Xavier's campus, more than 10 times closer than NC State's campus. T.J. Warren may have beaten the likes of Jabari Parker and Tyler Ennis for ACC Player of the Year, but his team will most likely be at a disadvantage with the crowd.

"I'm sure it will be a bit of oil-and-vinegar tomorrow night," Xavier coach Chris Mack told reporters, according to the Associated Press, indicating he is not expecting all cheers from the fans.

As a freshman last year, Warren and NC State left the tournament after a first round loss to Temple. Warren scored four points on 2-5 shooting from the floor. Warren has that loss in the back of his mind and will look to bury that memory with a win Tuesday night.

"It was pretty tough, losing in the first round," Warren told reporters. "Don't want to repeat that."

Warren will also be one of very few players on the court with NCAA Tournament experience, which could be beneficial to either squad. The game they play Tuesday and any other beyond that will be unlike anything they have ever experienced, but they could also be too young to realize the significance.

"We have so many young guys, this is a new experience for them," NC State coach Mark Gottfried said before the game, according to the AP. "We need to make sure that we're not just excited to be here because when you're young, sometimes that happens."
