A huge crowd has gathered outside of Temple University's arena in Philadelphia where the first joint rally for Vice President Kamala Harris and her running mate, Minnesota Governor Tim Walz, will take place.

Videos and images uploaded to X show thousands of people lined up for a chance to see the two, despite rainy weather conditions.

One Redditor who was in line posted a photo claiming that the line was "at least 6 blocks long."

Harris announced Walz as her pick Tuesday morning after weeks of deliberating between serveral democratic candidates, including Arizona Governor Mark Kelly and Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro.

Republicans were quick to begin attacking the Minnesota Governor on Tuesday, launching attack posts targeting Walz's progressive background in the North Star state.

Harris and Walz are expected to take the stage at Temple University on Tuesday evening.
