A small college in the Peach State has recieved a massive $20 million dollar donation from an anonymous source.

Morehouse College, an all-boys HBCU located in Atlanta, Georgia, announced on Tuesday that an anonymous donor gave the generous gift to the school to expand academic programs and professorships at the college. The donation was contributed to the "Making Men of Consequence" campaign, which is the largest fundraising initiative in the schools 157-year history.

The professorships will be added to varying different divisions, including business, humanities, social sciences, media and health professions, according to the school.

Morehouse College President David A. Thomas said in a statement that the "transformational" donation will allow the school to "increase the ranks of our esteemed and talented professors s othat we can uphold the legacy of excellence in our classrooms as our veteran faculty retire."

Morehouse College, with a student body of roughly 2,300 men, boasts long list of notable alumni includes civil rights leader Martin Luther King Jr., actor Samuel L. Jackson, U.S. Sen. Raphael Warnock, D-Georgia, and Shaun King.

The anonymous donation brings the school's fundraising campaign total to $290 million.

"We are grateful to the anonymous donor for this generous investment in our faculty," said Hodan Hassan, vice president of institutional advancement. "This significant gift fuels our ongoing commitment to excellence in higher education and our ability to offer students transformative academic experiences that help them to reach their full potential."
