Colorado University Professor Accused of Killing Wife, Baby Was Arrested Covered in Bruises and Scratches
ByA Regis University professor has been arrested for allegedly killing his wife and baby.
Nicholas Myklebust called 911 early on Monday morning to report that his wife, Seorin Kim, was bleeding on the ground. He also told police that his baby daughter appeared to not be breathing.
When investigators arrived to the family's home, they found Kim laying on the ground with injuries on her face and head. She was taken to the hospital, where she later succumbed to her injuries.
The infant daughter was pronounced dead at the scene, even though she showed no visible injuries, police said.
The deaths took place just three years after the couple's first daughter died due to a skull fracture. Charges were not filed in that child's death.
Myklebust was questioned by police, who said that his knuckles were bruised and bloody. He was brought to the Denver police station for further questioning. Ultimately, the Denver District Attorney's Office will determine the charges against Myklebust.
Regis University, where Myklebust taught English, shared a statement with the public.
