Whatever kind of movie it may be, as long as it made billion dollars at the box office, it is easy to predict that it will definitely have a sequel lined up as soon as soon as it leaves the cinema. One of those highest-grossing films in box office history is the Joker.

Director Todd Phillips originally said that a second sequel of Joker was not planned beforehand. The movie itself was not expected to set itself up for more. But because of its undeniably amazing box office performance, the new Joker sequel is now well on its way to the cinema.

Warner Bros. will bring back Todd Philips as the director and co-writer. Scott Silver, who wrote the first Joker along with Philips, will both return to make the sequel. Of course, celebrity star and awesome actor Joaquin Phoenix is likely to play the return as well.

After the evidential success of Joker movie, Philips talked to Warner Bros. Pictures Group chairman Toby Emmerich and asked to make an entire franchise considering the pen and paper stories of DC villains.

Warner Bros. had informed Joaquin Phoenix for the follow-up movie sequel. The star actor will possibly put on his makeup once again. Well, this is already foreseen by many because of the actor's great portrayal of the character.

Actually, Joker is the fourth DC movie that cross $1 billion threshold. But thinking that it only cost $60 million to produce the movie, it is by far the one that made greatest income of them all.
