The Ole Miss Rebels begin an important week by hosting the Kentucky Wildcats (18) in a high-powered SEC matchup.

Coach Andy Kennedy said this week may be difficult, but its also a chance for his team to prove themselves.

"It's two tremendous challenges for our group," Kennedy told reporters, according to ESPN. "But also two tremendous opportunities."

Lead by Marshall Henderson and Jarvis Summers, Ole Miss has a solid offensive output with 76.2 points per game, but they struggle on defense, allowing an average of 71.6 points.

Allowing 66.4 points per game, Kentucky may appear to have the defensive edge, but Wildcats coach John Calipari said avoiding an explosion from Henderson will be their objective.

"Henderson at any time can make five straight shots," Calipari said. "Can you keep your head about you?"

Lead by freshman standout forward Julius Randle, averaging 15.7 points and 10 rebounds a game, Kentucky will try to bounce back from a loss to Florida that snapped a four-game winning streak.

"I'm happy with my team," Calipari said. "That game showed me we're as good as anybody in the country. Now we've got to shore up a few things."

The Wildcats are 9-3 in the SEC, but have won seven of their last nine. Including Tuesday night's game, they play five opponents below them in the standings before ending their regular season in Gainesville to face Florida.
