Oklahoma State could not win a single game without Marcus Smart and they will now go into Saturday's game against Texas Tech on a seven-game losing streak.

According to the Associated Press, Oklahoma State's Monday night loss to Baylor marked the seventh loss in a row and the eight of their last nine games. Before that stretch, Oklahoma State (4-9 against the Big 12) was 15-3.

Now that Smart is eligible to play in the Cowboys' last five games, the best they can do is finish the season 21-10 overall and 9-9 in the Big 12 and hope for a tournament entry. Still on their schedule is Kansas (8) and Iowa State (17).

Markel Brown has played well in Smart's absence and has scored 70 total points in the last three games, brining his season average to 17.4 per game.

"We've been playing tough the last two games, and Marcus is a tough guy and he's ready to get back on this court," Brown said. "He's been watching the games on TV. He's been seeing how hard we've been working. I'm sure he's wanting to come back and join us."

Smart expressed his frustration Monday night on Twitter criticizing an Oklahoma State sports blogger for making fun of the Cowboys during their game against Baylor, according to ESPN.

Kyle Porter, the blogger behind Pistols Firing, said he did not take offense to Smart's comments and thought they were totally fair.

"If I'm allowed to critique his basketball, then he's sure allowed to critique my writing," Porter told Yahoo Sports. "I do think there needs to be an understanding of the difference between a fan and a blogger whose job it is to write humorously and interestingly about a team, but if I don't even understand it all the time, I sure don't expect a college kid to."
