After months of anticipation, Sony finally announced the "Spider-Man" action-adventure video game for PlayStation 4 during the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) 2017 event. Sony officially introduced the "Spider-Man" video game by means of an extended gameplay demo. The "Spider-Man" gameplay video gave gamers a glimpse of combat scenes and the game's navigation features.

The "Spider-Man" trailer shows the main protagonist swinging his way through a construction zone while giving a surprise to some masked villains. Another scene in the trailer showcased the web-slinging hero in downtown New York chasing a helicopter.

The "Spider-Man" action-adventure video game allows gamers to control an experienced Spider-Man with years of experience in crime fighting. The action-adventure video game is not related to the upcoming film as well as the current comics, the game will instead feature a new standalone story, High Snobiety reported.

The official description of the "Spider-Man" game made it known that it is not the Spider Man that people have met or seen in a movie before. The upcoming game is about a more experienced Peter Parker who is fighting crime.

One of the key features of the "Spider-Man" PS4 game includes an original story that has familiar characters in a different world of Spider-Man. The "Spider Man" game highlights the set-pieces in NYC, where the story of Parker unfolds and develops.

Meanwhile, Insomniac Games made it known that the upcoming "Spider-Man" PS4 game will feature alternative costumes for the web-slinger. Wherein, players can switch out the costume of the young adult who possesses superhuman abilities, Peter Parker. In addition to that, PS4 system architect Mark Cerny, stated that the focus of the game developer for the video game was on gameplay innovation, PlayStation Universe reported.

In spite of that, the "Spider-Man" PS4 game rolls out exclusively on Sony's PS4 in 2018. Insomniac Games as well as Sony haven't revealed the official release date yet.
