For the "Final Fantasy" fans that are still wishing for the pretty bunny race to join "Final Fantasy XIV," there might be a chance for them to appear soon. Some of the higher ups are saying that they should not give up hope.
Viera Race Might Join
A lot of fans have been wishing for a long time that the Viera race would be joining the popular MMORPG "Final Fantasy XIV." Game director Naoki Yoshida recently revealed that they were not included due to their choice of footwear, which was a pair of high heels. It turns out that the game engine struggles to portray the character's feet in angular footwear, and this is the reason why they did not implement the Viera race into the game so far, Destructoid reported.
Do Not Lose Hope For Viera Race
Yoshida teased recently that fans of the Viera race should not lose hope and keep wishing that it will be implemented sometime in the future. He revealed that the game developer team is hoping for "Final Fantasy XIV" to have a very long lifespan, which means there is a chance. If they are going to implement the race, they will not be able to wear that type of shoes in Eorzea.
Viera Race Details
The Viera race is composed of tall women with rabbit ears and wears sexy clothing for protection in battle. They are like the somewhat like the equivalent of elves in other games and they are proficient in many skills like archery, stealth, dark magic, and many more. They also wear very high heels, which caused the problem for its implementation in "Final Fantasy XIV."
"Final Fantasy XIV" Might Come To Xbox One And Nintendo Switch
Yoshida also mentioned that the development team and Square Enix want their video game to be available in other platforms as well, specifically the Nintendo Switch and the Xbox One. Currently, it can only be played on the PlayStation 4 and the PC. He said that the only obstacles for it to happen are Microsoft and Nintendo, Comic Book reported.
