UConn vs Memphis LIVE Radio Broadcast/Preview: Huskies and Tigers Both Vying to Climb AAC Standings
ByThe UConn Huskies (24), as per usual, are heating up toward the end of the year as they try to beat the Memphis Tigers (20) for the second time this season.
UConn rebounded from losing to SMU and Houston to start its AAC schedule to win eight of their last 10. Since their Jan. 16 loss to UConn, Memphis has won seven of eight and both teams are chasing Louisville, SMU and Cincinnati for the AAC title.

Memphis coach John Pastner said he did not see Saturday's game as a chance to avenge an earlier loss, but rather an opportunity to stay hot.
"We've got to do a better job," Pastner told reporters, according to the Associated Press. "We just got to be better. We've got to play like UConn did coming in here. They played with their backs against the wall, and we've got to do the same thing going up there to Connecticut."
Memphis will have just six games left after Saturday's matchup and end their regular season by facing Louisville, Cincinnati and SMU consecutively. UConn will also have a chance to play the three of the four teams ahead of them in the AAC before the end of the regular season.
In UConn's first game against Memphis, Shabazz Napier scored eight of his 17 points as time winded down in the game. DeAndre Daniels also added 23 points and 11 rebounds. The loss was one of two that Memphis has surrendered on its own court.
"No matter who it is we don't like losing at home," Memphis guard Joe Jackson said. "Just going out on the road we play better on the road. It's going to be a better environment for our team because we're going to come together. It's going to be fun for us because of the challenge, and we need it."
UConn will need to be near perfect in its remaining games as they will see the four teams ahead of them in the AAC. Coach Kevin Ollie said that is not affecting his team.
"We are playing against teams that are ahead of us, so if we take care of business, then we'll move up in the standings," Ollie said. "So, I'm not worried about that."
