Bethesda Big News: 'Fallout 4' Xbox One And Steam Players; PS4 Players Will Have Limited Access

Bethesda is opening the door for its action role-playing game "Fallout 4." It making the game free to play on Steam and Xbox One. This free weekend will go to start at exactly 7:00 in the morning (Eastern Time) or 10:00 a.m. (Pacific Time) on May 25, and will run until 10:00 a.m. (Eastern Time) or 1:00 p.m. (Pacific Time) on May 28, the Eurogamer reported.
During this free-to-play weekend, "Fallout 4" players will be giving full access to all "Fallout 4" base content and each gaming platform's respective library of mods, starting from May 25 to May 28. And when the free weekend ends, players will be also able to pick up the action RPG and the season pass for up to 67 percent off, the website added.
On Steam, "Fallout 4" players will also receive similar discounts which will be made available on Thursday at 6 p.m. (BST) on Monday at 6 p.m. (BST), the IGN reported.
The game's sales price will be in place until 7:00 a.m. (Eastern Time) or 10:00 a.m. (Pacific Time) on May 29. However, Xbox One players will require an active Gold membership to avail this great gaming opportunity.
As for the mods, Bethesda said that there some big improvements made. This includes the one that turns the player's shotgun into a landscaping tool, and then the other one that will let the players take people hostage and even rob them.
Unfortunately, PS4 players won't have access to the game's free weekend event, but Bethesda will be providing great stuff for them. PS4 players will also get a major discount on the base game along with its DLC. This means that PS4 players will be able to take advantage of the free weekend's "Fallout 4" sale, which said to see the base game discounted for up to 67 percent off. Not just that, the game's season pass will also make available throughout this free weekend.
According to Cinema Blend, PS4 players can only access limited number mods due to the fact that external assets aren't permissible on PS4, while on Xbox One users will be limited to around 2GB of mods only. This also means that Xbox owners won't be able to access UHD mods or total texture conversions, but they will be able to get some weapon, clothing mods, companion mods, building mods, and new customization.
Developed by Bethesda Game Studios, "Fallout 4" is currently available on PC, PS4, and Xbox One. It's the fifth major installments in the Fallout game series.
