The Louisville Cardinals (13) and the Temple Owls saw their Thursday night game pushed back one night thanks to a massive winter storm, but the AAC matchup is expected to go on as planned Friday.

Louisville is second in the AAC to Cincinnati, but have SMU, UConn and Memphis breathing down their neck. After playing Temple, Rick Pitino and company face Rutgers and USF at home then end their season by playing Cincinnati (10), Memphis (20) and SMU (23) on the road before ending their season at home against UConn (24).

Temple may have lost 13 of their last 15 games, but Pitino will be on upset alert and is wary of the Owls' four players averaging 14 points per game.

"This is a very dangerous offensive basketball team," Pitino said Wednesday, according to the Associated Press. "I don't think there's another team that has four 14-point scorers... They're a very dangerous basketball team that can put a lot of points up on the board."

Pitino is correct, no other Division I team has four players averaging at least 14 points per game. However, Temple's defense is allowing on average more points than the offense scores, leading to 1-9 AAC record and a 2-7 record at home. Louisville will be confident, having won six of their last seven, but the team has to know the difficult two weeks coming around the bend for them.

"With Cincinnati losing (to SMU on Saturday), the race has tightened up," Pitino said. "The good thing about this team is that they never look by an opponent. They care of business each game out in terms of effort and preparation. That's one of our strong suits."

Temple coach Fran Dunphy said his team may have potential on offense, but it means little when they cannot stop anyone on defense.

"I like some things we're doing, and I don't like some things that we're doing, we're just not good enough defensively," Dunphy said.
