OnePlus CEO Pete Lau made it known that the OnePlus 5 Android smartphone will have a front-facing fingerprint sensor and will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor. The benchmark tests of OnePlus 5 smartphone have been unveiled and it clearly shows that OnePlus 5 is better than Google Pixel XL and Samsung's Galaxy S8.

A fan asked the OnePlus founder whether the OnePlus 5 Android smartphone will feature a front-facing fingerprint sensor, the CEO simply responded by saying yes. The reply of Lau also hints the design of the upcoming smartphone, Gizmo China reported.

Nonetheless, it is very likely that the OnePlus 5 Android smartphone will have the usual 16:9 aspect ratio display. As the CEO confirmed that the upcoming handset will have a front-facing fingerprint sensor, the OnePlus 5 smartphone should have a bottom bezel where its sensor would be located.

Meanwhile, the results of internal tests of app load times of the OnePlus 5 smartphone were tabulated. The OnePlus 5 figures were placed side-by-side with those of the Samsung Galaxy S8 and the Google Pixel XL smartphones. As seen in the chart, the OnePlus 5 Android smartphone has a better average of game opening speeds, Tech Radar reported.

The OnePlus 5 smartphone averaged 20 seconds for a video game, while the Google Pixel XL took 27 seconds and the Galaxy S8 took 23 seconds. Also, the OnePlus 5 smartphone was faster in opening apps.

Furthermore, the OnePlus 5 smartphone will be available in an entirely brand new design. The upcoming handset will have a dual lens camera arranged vertically and aligned with its logo.

The CEO claimed that the tech giant has been working on boosting the performance of the upcoming device by means of a software optimization with OxygenOS. Also, the engineers of the company added a feature to ensure the most used apps are always ready to go.
