Fans who have waited for the latest "Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown" to land this year will have to wait a little while longer. The game has been delayed a year later in order for the game developers to polish it better.

"Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown" Producer Sends Message

Bandai Namco producer Kazutoki Kono revealed in a message to the fans that the upcoming "Ace Combat 7" title will be delayed to a 2018 release windows. He explained the delay, which mostly said that they are trying to achieve the original vision set for the game, according to the official website of the game company.

Kono revealed that he wanted to give the fans a first-hand update on the launch timing to the video game, which resulted in a delay. He and the Project ACES team are currently working hard on the video game, and have come to a decision to move its launch date.

Kono said that they wanted to release "Ace Combat 7" at the end of 2017 as they originally intended, but that would compromise their goal for it. He explained that they take their art very seriously, and that means they are going to devote more time and effort to perfect and optimize the latest title of the game franchise. He also revealed that the combination of the Unreal 4 Engine and the power of the current generation consoles and PC hardware have opened opportunities for them to develop the best "Ace Combat" experience to date.

"Ace Combat 7" Now With New Features, Possible VR Experience

Kono also revealed that "Ace Combat 7" now has new features unlike the other titles in the franchise like cloud cover and air currents. He also said that players will have a new way to experience dogfights and attack sorties, which is through the virtual reality experience through the new PlayStation VR.

"Ace Combat 7" Game Demo At E3 2017

Bandai Namco revealed that "Ace Combat 7" will be available through a game demo at the E3 2017 event. It will showcase the non-VR missions that will make up most of the game's content, Dual Shockers reported.
