Bungie To Reveal More About 'Destiny 2' On May, But Bungie Has Some Bad News For Xbox Players [VIDEO]
ByBungie's upcoming first-person shooter game "Destiny 2" has become one of the most anticipated games of this year. Additionally, the game's release date is also set to be one of the biggest for this year. But before the game's big release date, Bungie is reportedly focusing first on the planned May livestream.
In the recent Bungie's blog post, the original Halo developer has now stepped forward to talk about the upcoming May event on their blog. The biggest story to glean from the recent blog post is the much-talked mystery console that made a headline recently. Bungie said in their blog post that the mystery console that will be used to show off the upcoming "Destiny 2" is the Sony PlayStation 4.
The Washington-based game developer will be hosting a special gameplay event on May. Bungie has already announced plans to launch new Destiny 2 release news in waves, ahead of the game's official release date September 2017. But before the big release date, a new "Destiny 2" trailer livestream is currently being planned for the month of May, the WWG reported.
The planned livestream event, which has been set on May 18, will be the next major step toward the big launch date. The May livestream is said to focus on gameplay and some important details about gaming platforms (Xbox One, PS4, and PC).
As mentioned earlier on the studio's recent blog post, Bungie will be inviting some special guests from the media world and gaming community to be a part of the big audience in the upcoming event. Community manager David Dague has also made these big crowd will be the first one to play the much-anticipated game, "Destiny 2."
The PS4 and PC versions of the game will be on display in the "Destiny 2" gameplay event, however, the gameplay event will not going to feature the Xbox One version of the game. Bungie confirmed this week that it will be focusing first on these two gaming platforms for good reasons.
The first one is that studio will be focusing first on establishing the PC base for "Destiny 2." Bungie has already missed out the PC base in the original game and does not want to repeat that's mistake in the new game. Then, there's the not-so-secret agreement between publisher Activision and gaming giant Sony, which might include exclusive contents coming to the PS4 version of "Destiny 2."
As for the upcoming game, Bungie is expected to reveal more about the new game in the upcoming special gameplay event on May. The "Destiny 2" gameplay event will take place this coming May 18 at 10 a.m. Pacific Time.
The event will start with a keynote presentation, players can expect more details to come out in the following days. Bungie's next first-person shooter game "Destiny 2" is slated for big release on PS4, PC and Xbox One this coming September 8, 2017.
