Texas - Kansas State Preview/LIVE Stream: Longhorns Try to Extend Win Streak to 8 Visiting Wildcats
ByAfter losing their first two Big 12 games, the Texas Longhorns (15) are winners of seven in a row visiting the Kansas State Wildcats.
Texas' win against Kansas put pressure on the conference leading Jayhawks who now only have a one-win lead over the Longhorns. At 5-4, Kansas State has struggled in Big 12 play, losing four of seven after beginning their conference schedule with two wins.

Texas survived a close 59-54 win against TCU thanks to a late three-pointer from team leading scorer Jonathan Holmes. He said the Longhorns need to have a consistent output if they want to compete for a title.
"We've got to understand that we put ourselves in position to win a Big 12 championship but we also need to understand that teams are going to be looking to beat us every night," Holmes told reporters, according to ESPN. "We've turned into a team's big win."
The Longhorns beat Kansas State in Texas on Jan. 21, but the Wildcats are 11-1 on their own court, beating teams like Oklahoma and Oklahoma State. Still, Texas is 5-1 on the road.
For Kansas State, climbing back up the Big 12 standings will not be easy. After playing Texas Saturday, they host Kansas Monday and visit Baylor next weekend. They also still have games scheduled against Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Iowa State and an additional game against Baylor.
"We need to execute better, I need to help our players and everybody needs to do a better job," coach Bruce Weber told reporters.
Texas is one of the better rebounding teams in the country and their average 77 point output should give Kansas State's defense trouble. Holmes is one of four Longhorns who is averaging double digit points per game totals this year.
The last time Kansas State lost on their own court was the season opener against Northern Colorado, but it has been a month since Texas has lost any matchup.
