Square Enix To Release ‘Kingdom Hearts 3’ Right After ‘Final Fantasy XV’, ‘Tomb Raider’ As Leaked Via Investor Docs [VIDEO]
BySquare Enix' "Kingdom Hearts 3" release schedule has been leaked though an investor documents surfacing online. It reveals that "KH3" is unlikely to be released within Q4 2017 but more probably be launched early 2018.
The talks regarding "Kingdom Hearts 3's release date began when the company's investor document has been shared in NeoGaf. The said file features Square Enix' UK Road Show Material presented in a presumably investor convention last February 2017.
The "Kingdom Hearts 3" release date reference is seen on page 13 of the file as part of the company's Geographical Expansion plan. The HD Segment Pipeline Reference shows that a one to two blockbuster titles with multiple mid-size titles will be released each year.
The 2017 lineup includes Final Fantasy XV, Deus Ex: Mankind Divided and Rise of the Tomb Raider with World of Final Fantasy and Kingdom Hearts 2.8. "Kingdom Hearts 3" is slated for 2018 release date alongside Dragon Quest XI.
Meanwhile, "Kingdom Hearts 3's schedule confirms that it would not arrive anytime this year as previously reported. This comes as a surprise since the Marvel partnership has been confirmed not a long time ago.
Also, the 2018 release date is not certain since the label also quotes "beyond" meaning it could still get a much later date. This reinforced what Kingdom Hearts III and Final Fantasy VII Remake director Tetsuya Nomura commented earlier this year that neither of those projects was on the verge of release, Game Spot reported.
This is not an official announcement coming from Square Enix regarding "Kingdom Hearts 3" actual release date. However, the said documents are classified files presenting the company's 2017 and 2018 roadmap for its third-party entities that have been leaked out of consent.
Thus, these investor documents can be held as a very credible evidence for the upcoming launching of "Kingdom Hearts 3" expansion. Do you think 2018 release date for the next "Kingdom Hearts" is already overdue?
