Harvard Business Review has been a source of great insight and advice among employers and employees alike. And to add more value to these people, Harvard has stepped up one more level by providing the same world-class professional advice in Slack.

The Harvard Business Review or HBR has teamed up with Slack to deliver daily or weekly direct messages that contain professional advice to those who will subscribe.

The messages will be delivered by a free bot from Slack. Those who want this service just needs to subscribe to HBR's Slack channel. After registering, subscribers will receive a summarized guide on important work-related topics, such as whether joining a start-up is a good move or not.

They can get more detailed information regarding the topic by replying 'case' to receive a case study report, 'link' to get redirected to the full story, or 'experts' to get an itemized advice from one of the expert sources of HBR.

Walter Frick, the editor of the Harvard Business Review, began working on the bit after finishing his stint at Harvard as a Neiman Journalism Fellow. He said that the reason he started the project was his desire to see bots doing real journalism someday. Moreover, he chose Slack because it is where most of the action is happening these days.

Frick said that they are trying to gather the best minds in various fields and learn what they have to say. After that, they edit it to make shorter and more practical to follow. He said that they want people to learn a lot by reading the snippet of advice they could get from HBR.

In the future, Frick hopes to make the archive searchable and ask the bot questions in real-time. For now, anyone can get all the advice they need for free.
