Nintendo recently revealed that their launch game for the Nintendo Switch, "The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild" actually outsold the console it was exclusive to. The game company was proud of this achievement as these two items broke sales records in western shores.
"The Legend Of Zelda: Breath Of The Wild" Sells More
Nintendo has recently offered concrete numbers about how strong their sales were for the latest "Legend of Zelda" game and the Nintendo Switch. They revealed that "Breath of the Wild" sold 1.3 million copies across the Switch and the Wii U consoles in North America, IGN reported.
Nintendo Switch Sales Breaks Record Sales
While "Breath of the Wild" has sold more copies than the Nintendo Switch, it does not mean that the console did not sell well. In fact, it sold 906,000 units in just 28 days since its sale in North America. The game console manufacturer was proud to say that the console is one of the fastest-selling video game systems of all time.
A research firm, the NPD Group, tracks the US gaming industry suggested that the game company sold more of its popular games for the Switch than the units of hardware itself. The reason was that people bought a limited edition of the game to collect, and another version on the console. "Breath of the Wild" is now the fastest-selling Nintendo launch game of all time, and also the fastest-selling "Zelda game of all time, Fortune reported.
"The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild" Player Does Impossible Parry
A player of "The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild" recently made an impossible stunt that made fans in awe of his feat, which can be seen in a video that can be viewed down below. It started out by crossing a field and climbing a mountain range to put a lot of distance between Link and the stationary guardian, which was down below. After that, the player does well-aimed bow and arrow attacks and then a set of perfectly timed parries, Game Rant reported.
