Nintendo's third-person shooter video game, "Splatoon 2," will ignite the Nintendo Switch gaming console on July 21. The "Splatoon 2" release date and the game's new Amiibo were announced during the tech giant's online presentation Nintendo Direct.

The "Splatoon 2" release date comes from the Japanese tech titan's most recent Nintendo Direct presentation. Alongside the date announcement of the third-person shooter video game, the tech company showed off some new gameplay from the multiplayer shooter game, according to Polygon.

During the Nintendo Direct presentation, new mode was revealed, which will be dubbed as Salmon Run. The new mode is basically the video game's version of a horde mode. The PvE mode of the "Splatoon 2" pits a team of the Inklings against a number of very disturbing salmon monsters as they try to gather new game items called the Power Eggs.

As the "Splatoon 2" release date for Nintendo Switch was indistinct, it's a great news for game enthusiasts to finally have a release date for the third-person shooter video game. Following the tremendous release of "The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild" on the Nintendo Switch, the "Splatoon 2" is considered as the next big thing for Nintendo's latest gaming system, VG 24/7 reported.

Nonetheless, the "Splatoon 2" video game will also have its own suite of new amiibo toys. Tapping the amiibo accessory on the Nintendo Switch console's NFC reader enables the amiibo character appear in-game, where a person can use it to save their loadout. This way, a person can take the amiibo to their friend's house. There are three-pack offering of "Splatoon 2" amiibo, the Inkling Girl, Inkling Boy, as well as Inkling Squid, according to IGN.

Nintendo Switch owners will also enjoy spectacular games such as the "Ultra Street Fighter II: The Final Challenger," "NEOGEO Masterpieces," and "Puyo Puyo Tetris." Nintendo Switch is also expected to offer the upcoming "ARMS," and "Mario Kart 8 Deluxe" video games.
