AMD Ryzen 5 1600 and Intel Core i7-7700k: The comparison

The latest CPU performance test reveals a surprising information that the Ryzen 5 1600 is slightly better than the Core i7-7700k. In fact, AMD's CPU beats Intel's when both are overclocked. The big unveiling is somewhat good news for those who have patiently waited for AMD chips this April 11. Furthermore, Cinebench R15 render test suggests that Ryzen 5 scores 1,123 points whilst Core i7 is a step behind with 1071 points, KitGuru reported.

AMD CPU has physical six cores and 12 threads - compared to Intel's with four cores and eight threads - the Ryzen 5 pulls ahead of its rival. The fact that Ryzen 5 guns down Core i7 is not the only thing interesting about the chip. As far as the price is concerned, AMD will reportedly sell Ryzen 5 for $200 - which means - it is about $150 cheaper than the Core i7.

AMD Ryzen 3 Specs: More details have been revealed

Ryzen 3 CPU gets an early leak as the new detail suggests the 1200 series will have 3.1GHz base clock and requires 65 watts power. It is reported that the chipset will rock a 2MB of L2 cache, Liliputing reported.

The detail is based on the motherboard maker, ASRock, which has listed Ryzen 3 chip alongside a few specifications. Albeit no further details are revealed, it is highly likely to compete with Intel Core i3.

AMD Ryzen 3, Ryzen 5 launch date
