ByThe Android 7.0 Nougat update rolled out to Samsung Galaxy Note 5 single SIM last month. Now, the Samsung Galaxy Note 5 Dual-SIM version will receive the latest firmware update.
The South Korean tech giant is now launching a new firmware update to the Galaxy Note 5 Dual SIM (SM-N208) which will bring the software to Android Nougat. The Android 7.0 Nougat will be distributed to Samsung Galaxy Note 5 through an over-the-air (OTA) update. The Nougat update has a build number N9208XXU3CQC6, The Android Soul reported.
The Android 7.0 Nougat operating system update of the Galaxy Note 5 features the March security patch update. Once a Samsung Galaxy Note 5 user successfully installed the Android 7.0 Nougat, their Note 5 smartphone will be automatically greeted with new features, such as viz split-window mode, notification controls, improved user interface and improved settings.
Nonetheless, as the Android 7.0 Nougat software update comes in with a hefty file, users of the Samsung Galaxy Note 5 Duos are recommended to sufficiently charge their handset before initiating the download. Also, the Samsung Galaxy Note 5 smartphone must be properly connected to a Wi-Fi network, Android Headlines reported.
On the other hand, users of the Samsung Galaxy A3, Galaxy A5, and Galaxy A7 have been waiting for the Android Nougat update for months. The Galaxy A3 2016 owners expected to receive the update on April 24, 2017, but now, it appears the Galaxy A3 devices will get the update in the first week of May 2017, TNH Online has learned.
Meanwhile, the Galaxy A5 and Galaxy A7 users seem to get the Android 7.0 Nougat update a bit longer. These two Samsung smartphones are slated to receive the Android 7.0 Nougat update sometime between May 22 and May 28, 2017. As with any operating system updates, users are advised to backup their files prior to the actual upgrade.
