Popular Nintendo consoles NES Classic Edition and Switch hit by shortage before the month of March ends. To address the issue, Nintendo is reportedly shipping two million units and console restocking is expected on April 5.

President of Nintendo America Reggie Fils-Aime reveals about the shipment of two million units of NES Classic Edition and Switch by the end of March and restocking on April 5 at major retailers. NES Classic Edition is now listed as available in BestBuy and Walmart, Droid Report reported.

Nintendo NES Classic Edition is also available in Amazon but for Prime members only. Consumers' Zip Codes can be checked through the console's listing at iStockNow for those wanted to be notified. Amazon only allows one console per person for a specific period of time.

New stocks for Nintendo Switch is also available on e-Commerce sites; however, GameStop CEO Tony Bartel predicts a year-ender shortage when holiday season shopping begins. The two million units of supply does not suffice to the market's demand.

On the other hand, the consoles' shortage can be considered as a result of Nintendo's fear for Switch to fail like Wii U. But the hybrid console has proven otherwise which is evident from the robust first year sales, Express reported.

So far, Nintendo Switch continue receiving positive reviews. Michael Pachter of Wedbush Securities said that the coolest thing about the hybrid console is the handheld mode where the player gets to hold the controller and screen altogether.

Pachter also points out that Nintendo Switch has more selling point than 3DS and will yield higher revenue compared to predecessor despite the price gap. However, when it comes to first party software, Pachter said that the Switch could be a second option next to PlayStation and Xbox.

Nintendo Switch is available at any major retailer for $300. Nintendo is reportedly having a double production to cater the demand from 2018; not to mention its plan to launch the popular augmented reality game Pokemon GO.
