Arizona vs Stanford Preview/LIVE Stream: Wildcats Go to Palo Alto Looking for Another Big Road Win
ByThe Arizona Wildcats (1) will go on the road to face the Stanford Cardinal having spent two months ranked first in the nation despite any question to their sustained success, except for one.
How would they fair if they had, say, Kansas' schedule? One look at the Arizona's schedule and something becomes blatantly obvious: Duke has been their only ranked opponent all year. To win the NIT tournament, Arizona beat Duke 72-66 at a neutral location, but no other opponent has been ranked at the time of their game against the Wildcats.

Kansas, on the other hand, plays its eight game this year against a ranked foe. Depending on how the rankings play out, they could face about four more ranked opponents as well.
Still, Arizona's best winning streak in the school's history is not to be discounted as they have pulled out tough road wins against UCLA and Michigan. The contest against Stanford appears to be no different for the Wildcats.
"We know every single game we're going to get everybody's best shot," Arizona's junior guard Nick Johnson told reporters, according to the Associated Press. "People make shots they don't normally make against other teams against us. It's definitely something we've adjusted to throughout the year and we'll continue to battle back."
While freshman like Julius Randle, Jabari Parker, Joel Embiid and Andrew Wiggins have grabbed headline, Arizona's Aaron Gordon and Rondae Hollis-Jefferson have been plenty impressive themselves.
Stanford is on a stretch where they have won four of five and they will look to build on that by hosting the nation's top team. The team's leading scorer, Chasson Randle, put up 17 against USC in an overtime win Sunday. He is averaging 19 points per game on .494 percent shooting from the field.
"Oh, man, we're all excited," said Randle, who has also been impressive when shooting three pointers. "It's a big game and we're looking forward to it."
