Nintendo NES Classic Edition Available In Target Stores; New, Better Alternative Now Brings Best Retro Gaming Experience
ByThe Nintendo NES Classic Edition stocks are available in several Target stores with early birds able to snag the console at its original $60 price. Stocks are still in limited supply but gamers may still have the best retro gaming experience using the RetroEngine Sigma, an NES Classic alternative that can do more and play more games for only $79.
Several consumers have reported having found and purchased the Nintendo NES Classic Edition after Target stores across the country received its stocks yesterday morning. Chances are low of getting the console now, which may have sold out within minutes after the store opens. A good way to find out when Target stores may have the Classic NES in stock again is to use and combine the iStockNow and SickBreek apps.
The Nintendo NES Classic Edition stocks continue to be in small increments and unable to meet the high demand. Every time major retailers have them in stock, they vanished within minutes. As of now, Walmart and Best Buy list the console as out of stock while Amazon Prime Now may have new stocks by end of April. Incidentally, Amazon has been getting daily small batches of the retro console for the past couple of weeks, i4u news reported.
With no official word from Nintendo regarding a stock availability of the Nintendo NES Classic Edition, the Doyodo Team offers a new and even better alternative. The RetroEngine Sigma is a new console that can play more than the restrictive 30 games available in the NES Classic, Daily Star reported. It can also support other games played on the NES, SNES, PlayStation and even old school ones like the Atari for the best retro gaming experience.
The Nintendo NES Classic Edition alternative will feature 15 branded titles but may have access to thousands of free ROMs by installing it into the system via a web browser or the micro SD adapter. The RetroEngine Sigma had a successful pre-launch due to IndieGoGo's campaign and is now out of stock for the Limited Edition. However, the mini video game console is still available for pre-orders but under a new case design.
