A wall of hate, or a "hate wall," has been erected at Nova Southeastern University (NSU), a private school in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, only to be demolished Thursday at 12:00 pm as the final symbolic act of Unity Week, Campus Reform reported.

Built by members of NSU Student Activities, the wall contains basically every offensive word one could imagine, a reality made clear by the office of public affairs before its construction.

Pictures from the Student Activities Office's Facebook page show the wall's progress from differentiated stacks of brightly painted cinderblocks (containing darkly constructed words) to its finished, twelve-block high, many more blocks wide state. Only a smaller middle portion was spared the bright coloring and hateful words.

"Unity Week is of great importance to NSU because it highlights President Hanbury's vision of 'One NSU' and promotes the NSU Core Values of Diversity and Community," wrote Shannon Booker, Assistant Director of Student Activities, in an email to Campus Reform. "When my students approached me last semester about wanting to bring back Unity Week I was very excited and I empowered them to plan a week that involved social, cultural, and educational programs that will engage their peers and the NSU community."

NSU is the eight largest, not-for-profit private colleges in the country. It enrolls about 30,000 students interested in law, business, osteopathic medicine, allied health, pharmacy, dentistry, optometry, and nursing.
