The Apple iPad 2017 vs Apple iPad Pro specs comparison could let tech fans further understand the similarities and differences of the Apple devices. As the comparison surfaced on the internet, tech fans are now doubtful in purchasing a more costly older iPad with the same size and nearly similar specs with the latest iPad.

Apple has outed an array of iPad variants to date, with quite a few of these Apple devices focusing on a particular price segment. It's worth noting that the iPad 2017 along with the 9.7-inch and the 12.9-inch models, the iPad Air 2 and the mini 4 sell like hotcakes. Nonetheless, comparing iPad models on the basis of their specs on Apple's website shows the iPad 2017 edition has ousted the second-generation iPad Air.

Meanwhile, the new edition iPad 2017 only differs with the iPad Pro 9.7-inch tablet is in the core components, which is why the Cupertino based tech titan offered the iPad 2017 at a cheaper price. The major differences lie in the display segment of the iPad 2017, where the new edition iPad doesn't come with an anti-reflective coating, a wide color gamut and even a true-tone display. Nevertheless, compromise in features couldn't really justify a price contrast of $270 for the iPad 2017, according to Apple Insider.

In terms of camera specs, the new Apple tablet has been adjusted to an extent, with the 2017 iPad sporting an 8MP camera as opposed to the 12MP snapper of the iPad Pro, Mac Rumors reported. The new 2017 iPad is also available without the Retina flash and live photos. Moreover, as the smart connector is not featured in the new Apple tablet, the tech giant appears to ditch some essential features to bring about the pricing.

In spite of that, the iPad 2017 and the iPad Pro have similar RAM capacity of 2GB. At the same time, the battery of the devices has the same strength that can last for up to 10 hours of battery life.
