Trusted sources claimed that the Microsoft Surface Book 2 is in the mass production, according to DigiTimes. The Redmond, Washington based tech giant is expected to unleash the new high-performance laptop computer at the end of March or in early April 2017.

The tech titan is said to roll out the Microsoft Surface Book 2 in a fixed clamshell design. The new Surface Book 2 design will ditch Microsoft's distinct two-in-one form factor. Tech fans and experts anticipated that the tech titan's move is to offer the Microsoft Surface Book 2 as an affordable device. The new Surface Book 2 design is also said to pave way for the Microsoft Surface Pro 5 in dominating the tablet industry, Learn Bonds reported.

Although the Microsoft Surface Book 2 is going to be simple in terms of design and specs, the budget-friendly price tag of the device is sure to entice a lot of tech fans. The Microsoft Surface Book 2 is expected to be available with a $1,000 price tag. The tech company is hoping that a cheaper price tag of the device bumps up the Surface Book 2 sales. The shipments of Microsoft's new high-performance laptop this year are estimated to reach 1.2 to 1.5 million units.

The Microsoft Surface Book 2 is speculated to boast a full VR capabilities and a 4K display resolution option.
