Consumers’ Horrible Experiences with MacBook Pro 2016 Will Greatly Affect the Next Model’s Sales Performance
ByApple should put more effort on MacBook Pro 2017 since consumers recall their horrible experiences with the 2016 model which could affect the upcoming laptop's sales performance. The 32GB configuration is likely to be the key to generate more revenues.
Consumers from the Mac community lamented about their experiences with MacBook Pro 2016 which resulted to describing it as "under-powered and overpriced". Apple received criticisms from the netizens regarding the underwhelming Touch Bar, limited RAM (16GB) and removal of MagSafe connector.
Just recently, a well-known designer named Brad Frost wrote about his experience with MacBook Pro 2016. While he finds Touch ID as an interesting feature, he described the whole experience as less ideal which goes below Apple's standard of excellence, BGR reported.
Accordingly, the software and hardware combination of MacBook Pro 2016 has made it the "glitchiest" computer he had ever owned. He also cited issues he encountered while writing his laments such as non-functioning audio devices and players (except for VLC which he downloaded) and laptop turned black screen which relates to power issues.
Hence, the sales of the upcoming MacBook Pro 2017 are predicted to be lower than the previously released versions. However, Apple seem to be working hard on the next MacBook and put emphasis on the laptop's key specs such as processor and RAM.
To be able to achieve a highly desirable laptop, Apple is reportedly considering Intel Kaby Lake as the main processor and ARM-based chipset to cater mundane tasks which do not require high battery consumption. Another interesting breakthrough that is highly anticipated on MacBook Pro 2017 is the inclusion of a 32GB of RAM but Kaby Lake does not support LPDDR4 RAM which leads to having 16GB of RAM, MacWorld reported.
There are many questions that surround the MacBook Pro 2017 that credible tipsters cannot satisfy with. Meanwhile, it is not yet confirmed whether Apple could end up removing the Touch Bar and headphone jack to giveway to other functionalities.
