Nintendo finally talks about the Switch Joy-Con issues that many owners were complaining about. They have also revealed that the hybrid console is back in stock early at a certain shop.

Nintendo Switch issue addressed

After the news about Nintendo offering to repair some of the problematic Switch Joy-Cons, the company has finally addressed the de-synching issue. They have assured that it will not be a problem in the future.

The game company told Gamespot in a statement they received that there is no design issue with the Joy-Con controllers. They also said that there is no widespread proactive repair or replacement effort for this issue.

The reason for the issue was due to a manufacturing variation to the controllers, which resulted in wireless interference with a small number of the left Joy-Con. In the future, this will not happen again as the manufacturing variation will be addressed and corrected at the factory level, Nintendo said.

The game company revealed that they have already found a simple fix to any affected Joy-Con to improve connectivity. They also stated that there are other reasons that the owners have been experiencing the wireless interference.

Nintendo is asking their consumers to contact their customer support team so that they can assist and determine if a repair will be necessary for their controllers. If they can determine it is in need of repairs, they can send their controllers directly to Nintendo for the adjustment, free of charge, and it will take less than a week to repair. The repair time will depend by region.

Restocks

In other Nintendo Switch related news, GameStop revealed that they will be getting a new shipment of Nintendo Switch systems, which will restock them of the consoles. A NeoGAF member wrote on its official forums that their local stores received 10 units so far, and they are being sold right now. He warned that the stocks may vary, which is why it is a good idea to speak with the local GameStop shop about stock and availability.
