‘Super Mario Run’ Latest Update: ‘Super Mario Run’ Now Available On Android Platform, Could Mario Run Hit Charts Like ‘Pokemon Go’ [VIDEO]
ByNintendo recently unleashed the auto-running video game, "Super Mario Run," on the Android platform. Android users can now download the "Super Mario Run" game through Google Play Store.
The "Super Mario Run" on Android platform holds a version 2.0 update, which comes along with new buildings and new Yoshi colors, Game Spot reported. The side-scrolling video game also brings in more levels to play for free. The version 2.0 update of the "Super Mario Run" game is also available on iOS. Nonetheless, as the full game of "Super Mario Run" has a price tag of $9.99, game enthusiasts and experts are doubtful if the game can keep up with the success of "Pokemon Go."
The game's overall price remains at $9.99. Users can play a few levels of the "Super Mario Run" for free, nonetheless, gamers will be asked to purchase the full game once the free levels have been completed. Android users are hoping that the video game company would drop the price of the game to $6.99.
Nevertheless, for Mario fans who haven't purchased the full game, the video game company is adding more free content, such as Bowser's Challenges. Completing one of the challenges of this free content will unlock the previously locked 1-4 course.
Furthermore, Nintendo also added an Easy Mode in the "Super Mario Run" video game for newbies, according to Vooks. The Easy Mode can be selected when players are using the World Tour mode. This mode will make the basic levels of the game much easier to clear. In spite of that, the "Super Mario Run" only has 24 levels, to which the video game company does not intend to add.
That being said, Nintendo first unleashed the "Super Mario Run" exclusively on iOS in November of last year. The video game company held the Android release of the video game to prevent players from pirating the game.
