Amidst the Jamie Dornan and Dakota Johnson dating rumors that all turned out to be rubbish, it appears however that the two stars of "Fifty Shades Darker" are indeed good friends and have nothing but praise for one another as colleagues.

While promoting "Fifty Shades Darker," Johnson opened up about working with Dornan, and how the latter made her feel comfortable while filming those intense sex scenes.

"It's genuinely one of the fastest, closest friendships I've ever made in my life, just based on the amount of time we've actually known each other," Johnson told OK! Magazine (via Metro). "I love Jamie, I trust him and I really couldn't tell you if I could have done this without him."

Johnson was very nearly paired with "Pacific Rim" star Charlie Hunnam, who was initially tapped to play Christian Grey in "Fifty Shades of Grey." However, Hunnam had to drop out of the project due to scheduling conflicts, so the part went to Dornan instead.

The 27-year-old actress added that Dornan is her "dream partner" and that they support each other mutually. Johnson also impliedly addressed rumors about her being the reason for the arguments between Dornan and his wife, actress Amelia Warner.

Johnson said she adores Dornan's wife as well as their "gorgeous babies," and believes "they're the most perfect family unit." It appears that Dornan and Johnson are really good friends on and off screen.

Dornan and Johnson have been the subject of countless rumors, romantically linking them due to their chemistry in the "Fifty Shades" movies. Dornan previously dispelled rumors claiming his sexy movies with Johnson have caused a strain in his relationship with Warner.

The model-turned-actor clarified that Warner fully supports him and his movies. "People start to say disgusting things about your family, about your children," The Independent quoted Dorrnan as saying while promoting the film.

Meanwhile, Dornan and Johnson have wrapped up filming "Fifty Shades Freed," the third and final installment in the "Fifty Shades" franchise. The third film was filmed simultaneously with "Fifty Shades Darker," which hit theaters in February this year.
