Samsung is getting close to unleash the world's first foldable smartphone, the Samsung Galaxy X. The Galaxy X foldable phone could be unveiled as early as autumn 2017. Rumor has it that Samsung's foldable phone may show up at the IFA 2017 trade show in Berlin. Leaks of the foldable phone's design show that it could fold into a tablet or a smaller wallet-shaped device.
The 5-inch Galaxy X foldable phone folds out into a 7-inch tablet, according to PC Advisor. Nevertheless, it is still unclear if the South Korean tech titan decides to release two variants of the upcoming Galaxy X foldable phone. The preliminary 8-inch and the final 7-inch models of the Galaxy X could be both roll out during the IFA 2017 event.
Nonetheless, a source stated that the South Korean tech giant is looking to have a working prototype of the Samsung Galaxy X ready by the third quarter of 2017, echoing previous reports that claimed a September reveal, ET News reported. Although the source claimed it's just a prototype of the Samsung Galaxy X, but it's a step closer to reality for the foldable phone technology.
In spite of that, the Samsung Galaxy X is speculated to be available with a 4K (3840 x 2160 resolution). The upcoming Samsung device is said to feature rear and front facing shooters as well as a non-removable battery. The Samsung Galaxy X foldable phone is rumored to be packed with Qualcomm's Snapdragon 835 processor and a microSD card slot. This Samsung Galaxy X could set a new smartphone trend and could finally put Samsung on top of its rivals.
