Netflix has recently announced that "Godzilla" the animated series will be released on its online television network. Toho and Polygon Pictures will work together on bringing the series of animated "Godzilla" movies in Netflix. It will feature a re-imagining of the legendary monster set in the future.

The "Godzilla" animated movies are scheduled for a theatrical release in Japan later this year, Screen Rant reported. Although there are no official release dates yet, the animated series of "Godzilla" movies is expected to hit Netflix after the Japanese theatrical release. The show will be directed by Kobun Shizuno and Hiroyuki Seshita, while the screenplay is penned by Gen Urobuchi.

Shizuno said they will bring spectacular entertainment for existing fans and to those who are new to the legend of "Godzilla," Netflix reported. Meanwhile, Seshita said he is thrilled to work with Urobuchi and Shizuno to bring a universal human drama to the giant world of "Godzilla." Urobuchi is also thrilled and honored to work with great filmmakers and bring the epic world of the legendary monster to the world.

Netflix Japan President Greg Peters said they are excited to bring "Godzilla" to Netflix, which is the latest addition to their growing list of original anime shows. He said that bringing the colossal movie monster to over 190 countries is a significant milestone to the online television network. Some of the popular names that will voice the characters of the animated show includes Yuki Kaji, Takahiro Sakurai, Tomokazu Sugita, Kana Hanazawa, Junichi Suwabe, and Mamoru Miyano.

Besides "Godzilla" Netflix has a lot of other animated shows in their list including "AJIN: Demi-Human," "Cyborg 009 Call of Justice and Perfect Bones," "Little Witch Academia," "Blame!, Gantz: O," "Magi: Adventure of Sinbad," and "Kuromukuro." Meanwhile, in America, "Godzilla" is set to fight "King Kong," and have another movie, which is a sequel to the 2014 "Godzilla" movie directed by Gareth Edwards.
