The Nintendo Switch attempted to revitalize the company from its seeming stagnation compared to the meteoric rise of Sony's PlayStation 4 and Microsoft's Xbox One. However, even with the ingenuity and impressiveness of the Switch, it has one very fatal flaw, it has seriously low number of games titles.

According to various video game critics like IGN and Gamespot, there are serious flaws of Nintendo's device and above all the lack of any game titles at the moment. PCMag also reported that even with the impressive features of the Nintendo Switch, without third party support, it will just be a repeat of the Wii U. The WII U had similar level of hype during release but because it lost support from 3rd-party game developers such as EA, the console slowly relegated to obscurity.

Eurogamer has learned that at the moment, the only real game titles for the Nintendo Switch is a Bomberman title and the highly-acclaimed "Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild", which is the only thing that made people interested on the handheld device.

On its technical aspects, even though it is a marvel of development, it has still its flaws. For example, the battery life of the Switch will last around three hours when playing graphics intensive games such as Breath of the Wild. This can easily limit the portability of the device, especially if Nintendo would capitalize on the popularity of Legend of Zelda to advertise the device. Aside from this, the screen can be damaged easily like when placing it on dock, as user feedback reveal.

This is some of the would-be flaws of the Nintendo Switch, which may become its Achilles heel. Though Nintendo promises more titles for the device, only time will show whether the Switch will user in a new age of handheld gaming devices or will it be the final nail in the coffin for these kinds of gaming platform.
