Arizona vs Arizona State LIVE Radio Broadcast: Wildcats Host In-State Rival Sun Devils Trying to Remain Undefeated
ByThe Arizona Wildcats (1) will try to extend the best start in school history to 18-0 as they face in-state rivals Arizona State Sun Devils Thursday night.
Arizona's front court, consisting of seven-foot center Kaleb Tarczewski, 6-8 Brandon Ashley and 6-9 Aaron Gordon, has been overwhelming on defense and on the boards. Averaging 39.4 rebounds per game, Arizona has been out-rebounded once this season.

Arizona State has their own low-post weapon, the nation's leading shot blocker: center Jordan Bachynski. At 7-2, his matchup with Tarczewski will be a major focal point for both sides.
"I think that's a real asset for them," Sun Devils coach Herb Sendek told reporters, according to ESPN. "I think it helps them on both ends of the floor and most significantly it makes them a great rebounding team."
While Arizona has seen solid rebounding from three low-post players, Bachynski is Arizona State's only big rebounder. He is averaging 9.4 per game, as well as 4.6 blocks per game, the latter being what he is better known for.
"I think Kaleb's looking forward to it," Arizona coach Sean Miller told reporters of the Tarczewski- Bachynski matchup, according to ESPN. "I think all of our guys are looking forward to the game against Arizona State. It's a big game for us, it's a game that our fans care a lot about, it's a home conference game."
Arizona has allowed an average of 56 points per game against a schedule that has only faced one ranked opponent thus far. The Wildcats beat Duke72-66 on Nov. 29 and even held UCLA's potent offense to 75 points on Jan. 9.
If Arizona State can get a big game from Bachynski and neutralize Arizona's low-post players, then the game may come down to an offensive shootout. The Sun Devils' leading scorer, Jahii Carson, is averaging 18 points per game, while the Wildcats' Nick Johnson is averaging 16.3.
