A Spanish accessory retailer has reportedly leaked an iPad case intended for the new 10.5-inch iPad Pro, further supporting the previous report of its impending arrival. The newest 10.5-inch form factor has actually a logical and mathematical basis that allowed Apple to easily transition to a new device while adding another product to reach a wider Pro user base.

Yesterday, a Twitter user Marc Alonso posted a notification allegedly from a Spanish peripheral distributor regarding a case for the new 10.5-inch iPad Pro. The said post is heavily obscured but its document titles aptly label the 10.5-inch form factor in the iPad Pro lineup. Dimensions are not yet disclosed and official graphics are still pending for Apple's official announcements. The said report may not be verified but it fuels further rumors that a new form factor is indeed added to the current 9.7-inch and 12.9-inch iPad Pro.

Apple may be adding a third size variant to the iPad Pro since it will pitch the 9.7-inch to budget consumers. Only the 12.9-inch iPad Pro will get a new refresh in design and even under the hood. The 10.5-inch iPad Pro which may have bigger screen display is actually the same in dimensions with its smaller sibling. The bezels in the new form factor are barely there allowing the design to feature a larger display, Apple Insider reported. The 10.5-inch iPad Pro is designed for Pro users on the go who may think that the bigger variant is too big to carry around.

Co-founder of Studio Neat Dan Provost reveals the mathematical calculations that Apple made to arrive at the new form factor. Provost revealed that the 10.5-inch iPad Pro will have the resolution of its older sibling with 2732x2048 but the pixel density of the iPad Mini with 326 ppi. Doing a little Math, Provost arrives at the 10.5-inch diagonal. This was intended to be so to allow Apple to easily transition to new devices.

Those who will opt to get the 10.5-inch iPad Pro will get the resolution of the 12.9 but the portability of the 9.7-inch variant. This is alongside other reported specs like the addition of the 3D Touch, an A10X processor, and much improved better battery life. The said device will most likely launch alongside the 7.9-inch iPad Mini and an updated iPad Air brand according to Phone Arena.
