As for the other news, The Verge reported how Rep. Jason Chaffetz compares serious health care to people's investment to iPhone.
"Maybe, rather than getting that new iPhone that they just love and they want to spend hundreds of dollars on, maybe they should invest in their own health care," Chaffetz tells to CNN.
With this statement, the site pointed out that "there are a lot of things wrong" with Chaffetz' message. First, of, healthcare is way more expensive than other things. The "average healthcare spending per capita" is worth thousands of dollars and not hundreds of dollars.
Should you buy an iPhone instead of investing for a healthcare? One is not required to even choose, health care is important as well as smartphones.
Individuals use their phones for a lot of important things and not just for selfies and YouTube videos. Phones, nowadays, are used for emergencies too. Not to mention, it also serves as a miniature computer where people can check important things online such as news. It also gives access to different online studies, books, as well as work emails and most importantly, it connects people to their loved ones.
In the end, the site seems to point out how one should not compare two different things.
"None of this should distract from the basic stupidity of saying that a little belt-tightening will offset the tremendous cost of health care or the sociopathy of believing that people only deserve treatment if they live like monks." The Verge's Adi Robertson concludes.
