ByNvidia in GDC 2017 keynote announced that it will be offering significant GeForce GTX 1080 and GTX 1070 price cuts which already went live yesterday. There are now custom models of the GTX 1080 and GTX 1070 that come pre-bundled with a GeForce game with prices ranging from $499.99 to $599.99 for the top-tier chip and $369.99 to $399.99 for the mid-range.
Enthusiasts and high-end gamers will have much to celebrate with the GeForce GTX 1080 price cuts as the high-end chips become more affordable at $499 from original $599 price. The card was launched in May 2016 using the GP104 GPU with 2560 CUDA and leveraging on NVIDIA's FinFET architecture for extreme overclocking as demonstrated in its launching. The GTX 1080 has 8GB of the next-generation and faster GDDR5X memory across 256-bit bus with a boost of over 352 GB/s as compared to its 320 GB/s when it first shipped.
The GeForce GTX 1080 price cuts are now featured and available in Newegg and Amazon with pre-bundled games like the "Ghost Recon: Wildlands" or "For Honor" according to wccftech.
