Fans are going crazy with the first look of the live adaptation of "Jojo's Bizarre Adventure," which was recently released. The film titled "Jojo's Bizarre Adventure: Diamond Is Unbreakable Chapter 1." The film is directed by legendary Japanese director Takashi Miike.
The new live-action trailer for "Jojo's Bizarre Adventure: Diamond Is Unbreakable Chapter 1" shows actor Kento Yamazuki playing the role of Josuke Higashikata, Comic Book reported. Looking at the trailer, one can say that the filmmakers pulled off the character's look just right with the help of hair gel - lot's of it. The film is in good hands with Miike, who also directed "Ichi the Killer" and "Audition."
"Jojo's Bizarre Adventure" is one of the most popular anime series today. It started back in 2012 based on a manga by Hirohiko Araki released back in 1987, Polygon reported. The story focuses on the Joestar family, who uses their supernatural skills to defeat various types of enemies.
The live-action movie adaptation follows the story of the main protagonist Josuke Higashikata, who has just discovered that he is the bastard son of Joseph Joestar. Josuke is then warned of a group of Stand users who plan to draw power from Bow and Arrow. Josuke teams up with Jotaro to stop this from happening. But the stakes gets higher as they found out that a serial killer named Yoshikage Kira is a Stand user in Moroih.
The 30-second trailer may not have revealed everything fans want to learn about the live-action adaptation, but it shows the tone of the movie. Meanwhile, the title "Jojo's Bizarre Adventure: Diamond is Unbreakable Chapter 1" clearly shows that the filmmakers are planning to make sequels for this franchise.
Warner Bros. will produce the film. The live-action adaptation of the anime series was first announced last September. The movie is set for release in Japan on 4, August. There are no official announcements when it will be released in the US.
