‘Grand Auto Theft’ Upset: Rockstar Halts ‘GTA 6’ Production; ‘GTA V Online’ GTA$ And RP Giveaway
By"GTA 6" development is reportedly being set aside by Rockstar because the developer's focus is fixed to the upcoming "Red Dead Redemption 2." Meanwhile, tension is forming on the receiving end, as fans are shocked by the announcement that their current progress in "GTA 5" will be reset for the new updates.
According to Tech Mic, the "GTA 6" report circulating online is baseless since Rockstar has never released a statement confirming the development of such title. That said, the absence of confirmation for sixth "Grand Theft Auto" installment does not mean it is not coming in the future.
On the contrary, "GTA 6" trailer is expected to be release in 2018, N4BB reported. The report also noted that its release date falls within the 2020 timetable just enough to develop the game into the best version it gamers deserve.
Some sources suggest that these "GTA 6" speculations came out since Rockstar is under pressure for the release of "RDR2." On a more positive note, the chances for the said game to be launched will even gain more ground since Rockstar can now concentrate on its development when "Red Dead Redemption 2" is released.
Meanwhile, its predecessor "GTA 5" remains a strong driving force to the "Grand Theft Auto" franchise. It has drawn even more fan attention with several updates coming out. One notable update is coming to "GTA V Online" as part of the celebration for Rockstar's Stunt Race Event this year.
"GTA V Online" has already received the update which includes 15 stunt races which would allow players to gain GTA$ as well as RP. Players are reminded to check that the stunt races they are joining were created and verified by the studio.
Meanwhile, "GTA V Online's latest fest will happen only until March 13. During this time, players who log-in to the game during the event will earn a cookie because logging into the event is tantamount to acquiring a limited Pink Jock Cranley Stuntman Jumpsuit.
